#50 sprockets are manufactured to fit flawlessly with #50 chains. A sprocket is a wheel with teeth or cogs that engages with chain to produce a spinning motion. Sprocket vs. a pulley is in the teeth, a sprocket has teeth a pulley does not. #50 sprockets are constructed of alloy steel to ANSI standards. By construction the sprocket either posses a hub with a key for driving holes in order to be mounted.

- Most utilize large anchor bolts to retain it
