Mounted Bearings

Flange mounted units are used in both light and heavy-duty industries, from food processing to construction sites. The flange units are available in configurations of cast iron, stainless, thermoplastic, and ductile material. These units can come with a variety of shaft locking options including, a screw set, eccentric locking collar, concentric lock collar, adapter. Set screw units within the inner ring have two set screws 120 ° apart. The three types of seals available are fragments, shielded seals, or standard seals. Flange configurations are used in applications where the shaft is perpendicular to the surface. Flanged modules come in two sizes and four screws. Flange systems help ensure that the bearing is flat to the fixed surface while supplying stability as well.

Mounted bearings, also referred to as bearing units or bearing blocks, have a bearing mounted in a housing to allow assembly and provide extra bearing support. These are placed in applications where the shaft is perpendicular to the component. Inserts of the bearings are used to repair worn or defective bearings in an internal housing. Collar bearings are used to accommodate heavy axial loads and restrict radial motion. A flange helps ensure the bearing is flush and provides additional stiffness. Pillow-block (Plummer block) bearings are mounted to a vertical or horizontal surface to support spinning shafts with mild to moderate loads, for example in conveying and other operations where the shaft moves through the bearing. Pick-up bearings are used to position the conveyor belts for track and friction.

The UCP200 Series has a combination of a cast-iron pillow block housing with a self-aligned anti-rotation mechanism and a fixed chrome steel locked insert bearing screw lock. This particular unit is a standard duty pillow block bearing with a wide inner ring and two set screws and a cast iron unit with the standard base to center height fitted with a grease fit.

UCP200 Series Pillow Block Bearing is fitted with two specially built set screws that can be locked and connected to the shaft in the inner ring of the ball bearing.
The UCFL 2-Bolt Flange Bearings are fitted with a hybrid of a chrome steel set screw insert bearing with an oval cast iron 2-Bolt Flange casing.
UCFL Series is a normal duty with fixed screw lock and available with fixed screw or eccentric locking hood, rust-resistant housing and bearing options including cast iron, stainless steel, thermoplastic and nickel plating, B-type seals or L3 triple seals suitable for additional sealing needs, large inside race bearings and suitable with high-temperature bearings. This unique insert has two grub screws for tightening until installed against the shaft. If required, the inserts may be removed from the housing for a permanent replacement.

UCF 4-Bolt Flange Bearing has a special mix of a chrome steel insert bearing with a lock attached screw. The housing is cast iron with an anti-rotation system with a 4-Bolt flange.

Regular duty with fixed screw lock is available with fixed screw or eccentric locking collar, large inner bearings, B-type seals or L3 triple lip seals suitable for additional sealing needs, often suitable with high-temperature bearings, and corrosion-resistant housing and bearing options include cast iron, stainless steel, thermoplastic and nickel plating.
