Throughout a hydraulic network, hydraulic fittings link conducers such as hoses, pipes and tubes. Most fittings have a part male and female that joins together to create a link. Such connections help to control and steer the conductive hydraulic fluid flow while avoiding leakage and retaining friction. Various fittings enable designers to adjust the direction of flow, the level of lines or the broken flow. The most popular way of installing the hoses and fittings is crimping. If the measurements for the individual hose and covering have been reviewed, a crimping system is calibrated to match the correct diameter configuration for the crimping. The next step is to lubricate the cap, position it on the end of the hose, and then put it in the system for the crimping.
When you are doing a permanent crimped hose, the special machinery involved could be a crimping machine in the type of a hand pump. You’ve got a set of dies, and there’s a tray below in which you’re setting up, and all of the dies are in there. You change the dies in the process depending on the diameter of the hose that you will be crimping with. Any collection of dies will do an assortment of hoses. You can have one package of dies and will effectively make between 3/8 “and 1⁄2” hose. You’ll then attach a bigger set of 5/8 “and 3/4” dies.
